Hardship as the foundation

Samar's entrepreneurial journey was shaped by experiences outside a conventional academic path. Financial pressure, leaving college and working across multiple jobs exposed him closely to the challenges people face when education does not translate easily into real-world opportunities. Those experiences gradually shaped a belief that skill-based, practical learning could create a more direct path toward career growth and financial independence.

Building Skill Maker Academy

After the lockdown, Samar recognised a gap between formal education, practical skills and internet-led opportunities. Skill Maker Academy grew from that belief. Rather than focusing only on traditional education, SMA was designed around practical skill education, career empowerment, entrepreneur development and accessible learning for all. Its emphasis on affordable, outcome-driven and trending skills reflects Samar's aim to help learners explore possibilities, build useful capabilities and receive continued support as they move toward professional or entrepreneurial goals.

Today, Skill Maker Academy has generated more than ₹15 crore in revenue and empowered over 70,000 learners through online and offline education. At the centre of Samar's work is a wider mission to make high-quality practical education accessible to more people.
