Some careers are planned in advance. Others are discovered one chapter at a time. Dr. Isha Kaurr's belongs to the second kind: a journey that moved from fashion design to entrepreneurship and, eventually, to spiritual healing, with creativity as the thread that runs through all of it.

Today she is known as a tarot reader, Reiki healer, numerologist, spiritual life coach and author, and as the founder of Sacred Spreads by Isha. Her profile also describes her as a PhD Gold Medalist in Tarot Science. But the path to that work began somewhere quite different.

A creative beginning in fashion

Isha's first career was built on design. She studied fashion design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Delhi, one of India's best-known design schools, and went on to work as a bridal trousseau designer, a segment of fashion where every piece is tied to one of the most emotional moments in a family's life. Her work established her among Mumbai's leading designers in that space.

Bridal design teaches more than cut and colour. It means listening closely, reading what a client hopes for but cannot quite put into words, and translating that into something tangible. Those same skills would later become central to her spiritual work.

Entrepreneurship in the kitchen

Her next chapter came from an entirely different industry. In Delhi NCR she entered the home-baking business and built it into a successful venture, learning first-hand what it takes to run a small business: managing customers, quality, deadlines and the constant pressure of building a reputation one order at a time.

Discovering a new calling

Alongside these careers, her interest in spirituality, self-awareness and traditional healing kept growing. She began exploring tarot, numerology, Reiki, Vastu and other spiritual traditions, studying them seriously rather than casually. What started as personal curiosity gradually became the work she wanted to do full-time.

Sacred Spreads by Isha

That decision took shape as Sacred Spreads by Isha, a platform for spiritual consultations, self-exploration and personal guidance. Its services include:

  • Tarot reading: using the 78-card tarot deck as a tool for reflection on relationships, career and life decisions.
  • Numerology: interpreting the significance attached to names, birth dates and numbers.
  • Reiki healing: a Japanese energy-based relaxation practice.
  • Vastu consultation: guidance drawn from the traditional Indian system of architecture and space.
  • Spiritual life coaching: one-to-one support around clarity, confidence and personal goals.
  • Vedic switch words and Lal Kitab: traditional approaches used in Indian spiritual practice.
  • Signature Magic Oils: a range of oils she has developed as part of her offerings.

She offers consultations both in person and online, which has allowed her work to reach clients well beyond one city. According to her profile, her work and related activities have touched more than 10,000 lives worldwide.

The Soul in Motion: her debut book

She has also added author to that list with her debut book, The Soul in Motion: A Cinematic Exploration of Tarot Archetypes Through the Eyes of the Fool. The book takes readers on a journey through all 78 tarot archetypes, following the Fool, the card traditionally associated with new beginnings, as the central character in a story told through a cinematic lens.

It is written for both people new to tarot and seasoned readers, and promises five things: a cinematic and unique way of experiencing tarot, deeper self-awareness, clarity and direction, storytelling that inspires, and a book for all seekers. The Soul in Motion is available on Amazon.

Where creativity meets spirituality

On the surface, bridal fashion, baking and tarot have little in common. Look closer and the connection is clear. Each relies on creativity, attention to detail and the ability to understand what another person needs. A bride, a customer ordering a celebration cake and a client sitting down for a reading are all, in their own way, looking for something meaningful.

Her book makes that link explicit by bringing storytelling and visual imagination, the instincts of a designer, to a spiritual tradition built on symbols and archetypes.

The philosophy behind her work

Isha's approach centres on inner awareness and personal balance. She sees compassion, careful listening and encouragement as the core of a good consultation, and the goal as helping people see their own situation more clearly rather than handing them answers.

When you heal within, everything around you aligns beautifully.— Dr. Isha Kaurr

Spiritual practices such as tarot, numerology and Reiki are matters of personal belief and affect people differently; they are not substitutes for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Readers should treat them as tools for reflection.

A story of reinvention

Dr. Isha Kaurr's career shows that a change of direction is not a failure of the first plan. A designer became an entrepreneur, and an entrepreneur became a spiritual guide and author. Each chapter added something to the next.
